If KEH912 or Ulster911 means something to you then this is probably the group for you. This is for the Firefighters of Ulster County in the state of New York to chat and trade stories.
As part of the re-opening of the Poughkeepsie Railroad Bridge as a
pedestrian walkway, the Walkway over the Hudson, there is an effort to
organize a recognition of the efforts of firemen. In 1974 the bridge caught
fire and there is a movement to have an event to honor those firefighters
who were on the bridge that day.
A local firefighter is pulling this together and would appreciate help
getting the word out, there's a flyer attached. He's looking for firemen
that served on that day or for firemen interested in helping with the
event.
