thanks for the invite sorry so late......well here goes.....i'm ics 100 200 300 400 700....now i'm one of a few in the county that have em all. was on two depts. at once. An ya so couldn't even compare em to each other,my main dept supports all the training i did an do, the other?????.... ya have to beg to go to class an have em pay... on incident???? glory hounds free lanceing no setup of orders..no ICS...i really think someones going to die soon they are the joke of the county...I tried to help em out with structure many talks with the chief behind closed door....Ya can't help people that dont want it found that out the hard way so i quit ........
ICS is a most valuable tool. We must also concern ourselves with the problems that exist prior to the ICS setup. This is where officers of all ranks need to put more focus on. Many things occur before the ICS is set. It is something that is often overlooked. I will go over more as we go. Stay Safe...
Mike, you're so right. That increases the importance of preparing all our folks to establish and take Command. First Officer, or senior firefighter on scene takes command until the designated Command Officer arrives and command is transferred. Thanks for your thoughts.
