Hello all. I am new to the FFN and saw the WA group. Look forward to sharing ideas and stories with all of you. I am in Northeastern Washington. Pend Oreille Fire Dist. #3 covers about 100 sq. miles and has apprx. 47% of the counties population. Like most rural FD's in washington we handle all aspects of fire/rescue.
Hello all. I just wanted to say happy holiday season. I am a fire fighter from just south of you all (Lincoln City, OR). since our two states work close together on wildland fires I thought this would be a good place to start building friendships. You just never know what happens.
hey all i am a former fire rescue operator in nsw australia now i am with the emergency services and also with the volunteer rescue association and i am a collector of department patches and would like to know if anyone that is with this group could send me some patches from there dept
Welcome to 2009 hope everyone had a great and safe holiday season..lets keep it even safer in 2009..Not too much going on here in Benton county..had some snow it melted and dang if we didnt get a little more..I am ready for spring..its time to get the motorcycle out and ride again...take care everyone.
Good day all just wanted to stop in and welcome the members to the group and wanted to say feel free to post anytime you like and start any discussion you feel for the good of the group...take care and stay safe all.
Well its been awhile since i have been in here..anyways just seeing how things are going and what every one has been up too...we have been dealing with hot temps and not so many fires actually...other than that take care n stay safe...
Hello, new to the site and it's nice to see a local group. Was anyone else surprised by the relatively small amount of big wildfires in Eastern Washington so far this season?
There was a lot of hype about this being a very bad wildfire year in all of Washington. I am a bit surprised that there has not been more fires this year, but thankful that there has not been. Maybe we should send some more resources to California...
Yea we didnt have that many wildland fires this year as we usually do..we had a few pretty good ones...state mobes were slim to min which can be good..i guess it just saves more for next season.....so now as its getting colder n that we get to deal with the structure fires more and slick roads...so everyone remeber safety first and everyone goes home...
Hello all, I have had several Washington FF's who have visited my site, www.BrotherhoodFirst.com , I just wanted to invite the rest. Its a free classified site for firefighters. Its new, check it out, post something, its free.
