Well it's that time of year again here in SC, the time of year when the days are warmer, the birds are singing, and the smell of burning brush is in the air. It's getting in to the 70's and 80's and the humidity is less that 20% and of course the winds are blowing no less than 12 mph gusting to god only knows, and everybody is wanting to burn their brush piles they've built all winter long. To all my fellow FF's good luck and stay safe during the SILLY SEASON!

You too!!! We still have snow here in Northern Wisconsin, but it is leaving us quickly!! Soon, the brilliant ones will be doing the same up here!!! Be cafeful!!!

Silly season indeed. We help with controlled burns so that we can keep them under control and we use them for fundraising....so much per truck, so much per acre, etc.

Also great wildland training under fairly controlled conditions.

But, we don't have the craziness that they have in Texas and Oklahoma.
Same here we also have had a rash of arson fires the last few weeks.
