All our truck are Yellow RAL 1018.

We made this choice for two reasons: the first is the increased visibility of a yellow truck especially at night in urban lighting, and secondly to distinguish between trucks of airport firefighters and Fire the city.

All of our equipment is painted white with a blue stripe. We originally had red fire trucks like everyone else at the time but in the 60's, some bean counter figured out that the county could save money if they only bought white vehicles. That included us... We now have the blue reflective stripes but many of us wish we had red fire trucks... Sigh... You can't pick your family or the color of your fire engine sometimes... : ) TCSS, SB Mike

i love my big yellow truck ! My chief is wanting to change them all to red or lime green. We live in a largely wooded area with lots of evergreens and the yellow stands out so much better and the visabilty works at a distance.
