I found a great workout and Lean eating in the firehouse guide at www.FireRescueFitness.com

Ok so I wrote the program you can get it here FREE.  I would love to see what people think of it.  I personally lost 8 lbs and dropped 4% bodyfat after completing the 28-day quickstart program.  Give it a try.

I am working on starting a FIrefighter Health 5K run/walk with the American Heart Assn and other organizations. Should be in June. Hopefully at the Meadowlands. Still working on all the details. Let me know if you are interested.

Crossfit will work you until you drop. It's a great workout...

P90X is a great workout if you have the time to do it. Each video is an hour and sometimes you have to do a 15 min ab workout after an hour long workout. It's intense. I use it as a supplement to my own program and take little bits and pieces of it as I go. The only workouts I still do are the Ab workout which is killer and the yoga which stretches you in ways you didn't think were possible but you feel great afterwards.

P90x is from the same company, just different trainers. It is a free weight routine that is just amped up. If you prefer weight training I've heard it is a good one.

cool good luck and i was going to try the PX90 and see if that helps but was told that it is kinda a weight training video that is just extreme

I am also training for the challenge next year. I took the Insanity challenge. Insanity is a work out program that is all on dvd. It combines intense cardio, plyometrics, body weight resistance, and max interval training. It seems to be doing wonders, but i just started and its a 60 day regimen. I will try to keep you updated on my results.
