First I want to thank every Vet out there for giving us the right to join this site. I have a cousin in Afghanistan right now on his 2nd tour. He is in the Air Force. He has 3 other brothers, all in the Air Force and also were there. One as a EMT. God bless all of them and lets pray they come home safe and soon.

On Monday our small town lost a fine young man, Neal Myers. He was 31, served with the National Guard in Bagdad. He was in a MVA only a couple miles from his home. No drugs or alcohol to blame. He leaves behind his son, Joseph, who will be a year on the 6th. Please keep his family in your prayers. Thank you

" target="_blank">Freedom, honor, devotion, sacrifice, love ... this video says it all. Watch it and tell me you don't feel a tightness in your throat; get a tear in your eye! If you can truly say it does not move you, then my heart goes out to you because you don't understand the meaning of the words which started this paragraph. God bless America - land that I love.

Hi Duncan, I think everyone here would agree that our thanks go to the men and women in Canada for their brave service as well as to all other allied countries fighting for freedom in locales where that word has no meaning.

Tommy - thank YOU!

Thanks for the invite Chief. Definitely a group we should all be a part of. I have met so many of our men and women of the armed forces who have joined the fire service after their time in the military. Just goes to show their willingness to continue to serve. A tip of the helmet to those who pull the double shift serving our country and jumping on the rig. God bless them all and many a safe return.
