Truckie Video

There are links to several truckie videos embedded in this block. The most recent come from my post on Firehouse Zen, where I have also linked the Raleigh and Seattle Fire Department collaboration on their tiller training project in the wake of their rollover from a few years ago.Another great truckie video was sent to me by my dad (or my brother, can't remember who):

Inside the Ladder Shop at the San Francisco Fire Department from AdamKaplan on Vimeo.

Of course, both Webchief and Dave STAT911 turned me on to this EXCELLENT video of LAFD in 1949 showing how the truckies get it done! Check it out:

And finally, the LAFD Truckie Video:

1000 truckies....geez! We could rack up some SERIOUS damage lol. Happy New Year everyone. Let's have a safe year while we're destroying things!

Happy New Year to you all. And the word is definitely out- we are now above the 900 mark and counting. At this rate, we should have a 1000 truckies on here by the end of the month. Can you imagine the damage 1000 truckies could do if you put us all in one place? Must be the reason there aren't any truckie conventions...

Hey, the group founder is a white hat. There will be no beating on the white hats here, especially those of us who have put in our time on the truck (unless the beating is warranted, of course). In which case, beat away.

Sorry I am not a true truckie, but a truckie at heart. Our dept. has no truck, but my station has traditionally done the truck work and carried the only 35' ladder in the township. We have all the big crazy guys that will breach a wall in a heartbeat and when we need it are the first to call for a mutual aid truck and put them to work. Maybe someday we will have a truck!
