Hi, I'm from central Victoria, Australia, and from a family with a number of firefighters. My father was a volunteer up until the time I was born, then he picked up a (non operational) job with the statewide fire service here. He's now retired. My uncle is still a volunteer after lifelong service on the other side of Melbourne, and one of my sisters was a volunteer when I was in my teens. I started out as a junior when I was 11, and became a volunteer at 17, until I some time after moved to Melbourne in 1991 when I was 22. I've rejoined the volunteer service since moving out of Melbourne last year.

My Great Grand father was a FireFighter. I hope that counts.

Hi from northern Michigan I am 41 and have been in the fire service for about 21 years. My dad has been in the fire service since 1956 and at the age of 80 he is still doing it.

Hello from W.VA. me and my dad joined at about the same time over 30 years ago on the same dept. not on same dept. now still both firemen dad is still a member at 70
