Sitting here at my cubicle on this cool brisk day here in the lovely Bluegrass State thinking about my recent trip and photo excursion, which btw was way too short, down to the Great Smoky Mountains.  As I was sitting here doing some daydreaming, I thought I would see how many of my fellow brothers and sisters enjoy and love this great place as much as I do.

Please feel free to share photos, your favorite places to eat, visit, and anything else that might pop up.  Myself, favorite places to go would include Clingmans Dome, Cades Cove, Roaring Fork Autotrail, and the recently discovered Greenbriar Rd/Pittman Center.  Cades Cove is definitely #1 on the list of places to visit with Clingmans Dome coming in a close 2nd.  Favorite eateries would include the Little River Pancake House, Flapjacks, Log Mountain Pancake House on Airport Road and the Old Mill Rest. in Pigeon Forge.

For my fellow photography enthusiasts, on my most recent trip down (last weekend), I've discovered that Clingmans Dome for sunset pics is absolutely fantastic!!!!!!!!!  For sunrise pics, Newfound Gap is great closely follow by Cades Cove.

I will have to try that with my camera. Do you like color or black and white?
More into color than black and white. Have played around a little with black and white at fair time here.
I prefer black and white, but then I am also a fan of the old black and white films.
Have you all had any snow or ice out there yet?
Not yet. We typically do not see any until the end of the year.
Gotcha, they're saying we could see flurries down here on Friday. Ready for the snow!
I wish we were getting snow soon. The downside is here, there are so many people who freak out at the site of a snowflake that they cause accidents.... Sheesh they even freak out at the first rain drop....
Same down here, waiting for the pager to go off for an MVA. Has been a quiet day here tho.
It has been quieter than normal here which means poo is going to hit the fans soon.
Amen to that! Ended up as a quiet day with only 1 call which was a mutual aid with another dept. and ended up getting cancelled on it.
It was pretty quiet last night. We had our monthly FF meeting, and then lovely shots were administered....

I was getting teased because I do not like needles at all.... So the guys decided to tell me in great detail how big that needle was..... Paybacks.....
Last night was our business meeting also. No shots though, just doing maintenance checks on all the apparatus. I hear ya on the paybacks. :o)
