I am joining a volunteer department here in my town and I need to transfer my certification from TX to OH.  I sent in the application and I got a letter back that I need both NIMS 100 & 700.  I was told I could do that online.  Where can I find the training online?

I'm gonna sound like an idiot, but i went to that site before, and i just looked again, and its not very easy to understand. I'm not sure what I need to do/take on that site..
go to the independant study section and scroll through the topics til you find what you are looking for, it's been awhile since I did mine so I can't remember exactly where it is on the site but it is there
Here is the link www.fema.gov/emergency/nims/IncidentCommandSystem.shtm
Scroll to about the bottom and there are links to the classes from there.
Aw you beat me to it Randy!
me too, decided to look it up, oh well, atleast someone found it for him
http://www.fema.gov/emergency/nims/NIMSTrainingCourses.shtm#item1 dont click on the fact sheets clic on the blue lines below it. on the number and the title you want.
Ok so I'm just now getting around to doing the training. There are several options for NIMS 100 (ie: 100.b 100.FDA 100.HCb 100.HE etc) Also, There is NIMS 700.a, 701.a, 702.a & 703.a Which do I need for my NIMS 100 & 700?
Trey, for most firefighters, they would need 100.b and 700.a

100.FDA - Food and Drug Administration Employees
100.HC - Health Care / Hospital workers
100.LE - Law Enforcement employees

701, 702, 703, and 704 are additional courses above and beyond 700. The final character (blank, a or b) indicates the version of the course (original, first revision, second revision, etc.)
