If you don't mind a drive and like camping there is an island in Georgia, me and my wife go there every year. It's called Cumberland island it's 4 dollars to camp all week and only three hundred people can be on the island at one time.
Thanks Lt. , Don't mind drive, But 1st short time frame and me and my son love to camp.. BUT wife is a city girl and she won't even go camping and sleep in a camper.. spoiled I guess...
She wants Hotel and resteraunt to eat in... But speaking of camping or there somewhat... In BrokenBow OK. is a place that rents cabins right on a lake... Great place to hike, fish, or just relax... These links will tell ya more

Camping anywhere is always fun and fairly cheap, one of my favorite things to do.
