For me it was tough to find Boots in my size at all. I like Thorogood since it's the only manufacturer I have seen that makes Fire Boots up to size 18 EEE. I also need to add that they are available on XLfeet.com, where they have Fire Fighter Boots in stock up to size 18 EEE with no waiting. I have great respect and support for any Manufacture who instead of neglecting, takes care of people with large size feet.
For Wildland Boots most prefer the Thorogood 10" Structural / T.R.I. / Wildland Fire Fighting Boots too. They fit great, and are more than dependable.
For me and other Bigfoots, finding Fire Fighting Boots in our size can be the difference between being a Fire Fighter or not. It's just that simple. That's why I can't say enough about XLfeet.com. Talk about jobs in 2012, XLfeet is doing their part!
I use Thorogood Hellfire for ems. I love the boots, they are very comfortible. I can wear them all day long, with out any issues. I have never used them for wildland fire, beings we don't run wildland fires. I ordered them off The Fire Store:http://www.thefirestore.com/store/product.cfm/pid_7130_thorogood_me...
I've worn both Red Wing and Mason Boots, and both served me well. The Mason's were the cheapest, yet not cheaply made.
Whatever your feet like. We have guys that swear by White's, Nick's, Wesco's, etc. You're the one who has to spend 12+ hours a day in them for weeks so get what's the most comfortable. A personal fitting also helps alot.
