 ow fire fighters help people in a fire \nChildren take turns saving e
 ach other or their parents from a “burning building” as part of th
 e Fire Rescue Game, Thursdays at 11 am in July and August, in the Fire
  Museum of Maryland. They perform the rescues in fire gear and with a 
 play breathing apparatus to understand how fire fighters save people i
 n an emergency. They also learn self-rescue and how to help firefighte
 rs find them. Children’s play-breathing apparatus developed from a g
 ift from REI Lutherville-Timonium.\nThe Fire Museum offers a different
  children’s activity in July and August at 11 am, Wednesday – Frid
 ay, July and August. Wednesday is Children’s Crafts Day, Thursday is
  the Fire Rescue Game and Friday is Story Time.\nIn the Discovery Room
 , children can dress up in fire gear and climb on a 1938 Fire Engine!\
 nThe Fire Museum is the third largest fire museum in the world, featur
 ing over 40 antique fire engines and a reconstructed 1870s Fire House 
 on the main floor. Other exhibits include a history and video of the G
 reat Baltimore Fire of 1904. The museum is filled with artifacts that 
 depict the working lives of fire fighters from the early 1800s to the 
 present. \nPublic hours are on Saturdays, 10 – 4 pm, and from June 
 through August, Wednesday – Saturday, 10 – 4 pm. Admission is Adul
 ts $12, Seniors and Fire Fighters $10, and Children (2-18) $5. \n\nFo
