DESCRIPTION:I started this online fundraiser for my Department several
  weeks ago. We are a combination department with Paid, Part-time, and 
 Paid call Volunteers. I became familiar with OCESD# 1 during Hurricane
  Rita back in 2005. I was a Paramedic Supervisor for a large ambulance
  provider from California on contract with FEMA. I knew from day one t
 hat the men and women of this department were something special. I lov
 ed them so much, that my wife and I moved to Texas a year later. I hav
 e been involved in the fire service since I was a child, I truly belie
 ve it is the greatest profession in the world. I am raising these fund
 s for the department because they deserve better.\n\nWe got the statio
 n from the Feds, replaced some apparatus with grants and our money. We
  need new SCBA's and have an engine on its last leg.\n\nI am doing thi
 s for my love of my brothers and sisters and for my love and respect o
