 n Monday with the National Fallen Firefighter Foundation's \"Taking Ca
 re of Our Own\" course to help you prepare for the worst: a line-of-du
 ty death or serious injury. Developed by fire service personnel and fa
 milies who have lost a firefighter, the class covers pre-incident plan
 ning, survivor notification, family and co-worker support, and benefit
 s and resources available to families. You'll go home with specific id
 eas, practical information, real-world insights and valuable materials
 .\n\nThen on Tuesday, we'll present \"Acute Traumatic Stress Managemen
 t\" from the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. You'll l
 earn how to \"jump start\" an individual's coping and problem-solving 
 abilities in the middle of a situation. You'll learn how to stabilize 
 acute symptoms of traumatic stress and stimulate healthy, adaptive fun
 ctioning. And you'll learn techniques for connecting with particularly
  challenging, emotionally distraught individuals.\n\nTwo days of top-n
 otch training, materials, breakfasts, lunches, and snacks costs $125.
