 ompany Operations (Open Enrollment)
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce our first open-enrollment engin
 e and ladder company operations hands-on class in the Chicago suburbs.
  This is a ONE day class.\n\nMorning rotations will consist of primari
 ly ladder company-based functions. The rotations are: Vent, Enter & Se
 arch, Conventional Forcible Entry, and Flat-Roof Operations.\n\nVES: A
 ll members will conduct a realistic VES search under simulated fire co
 nditions in a zero-visibility environment.\n\nConventional FE: All mem
 bers will force inward and outward opening doors of varying levels of 
 difficulty\n\nFlat-Roof Operations: All members will use a power saw t
 o cut a hole in a roof to simulate vertical ventilation.\n\nAfternoon 
 rotations will consist of Engine-based rotations. The rotations are:\n
 \nStretching the Initial Attack Line: Members will be shown several va
 riations of attack beds and will stretch attack lines to varying locat
 ions in the building.\n\nAdvancing the Initial Attack Line: For a give
 n scenario, members will advance an 1 3/4\" attack line under simulate
 d fire conditions to the seat of the fire\n\nAggressive 2 1/2\" Attack
  Line Operations: Members will be shown how to utilize two or three fi
 refighters to efficiently advance a 2 1/2\" line through multiple room
 s WHILE FLOWING WATER. This rotation will defuse the well-known \"We c
