Why I Joined Fire/EMS
...MY NAME IS DEE..... I AM A FIRE FIGHTER BAR MANAGER IN THE CITY OF DETROIT. I LEFT A BORING ASS BANK JOB TO SLING DRINKS ... BUT WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR WAS BY FAR NOT EVEN CLOSE TO WHAT IT HAS TURNED OUT TO BE... A DOOR OPENED UP AND INSIDE THE DOOR STOOD A HALLWAY OF HEROES.. THOSE HEROES ARE NOW MY FAMILY, MY FRIENDS, AND MY REMINDER THAT LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO EVER NOT LIVE IT TO THE FULLEST. THE FRIENDS THAT I HAVE MADE IN THE DETROIT FIRE DEPARTMENT WILL BE FRIENDS I WILL HAVE FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. THEY FIGHT POLITICS, THEY FIGHT RACE ISSUES, THEY FIGHT PEOPLE WHO DESTROY THE CITY THEY LIVE IN .... NEVER LETTING ANY OF IT DRAIN OR SLOW DOWN THIER COURAGE TO FIGHT FIRES AND SAVE LIVES. I THINK THE GREATEST THING I EVER LEARNED ABOUT ANY OF THEM WAS THAT A HERO IS BY FAR NOT PERFECT ..... AND SOMETIMES IT MAKES LIFE ALOT MORE FUN WHEN YOU ARE NOT!!! ......

IM AM A SINGLE MOTHER ... I STAND TALL FROM STRUGGLE AND ALTHOUGH I MAY NEVER HAVE WHAT IVE WANTED .. I HAVE ALWAYS HAD WHAT I NEEDED.... THAT MAKES ME A VERY BLESSED PERSON .. I THANK "GOD" FOR THAT EVERY DAY. ......

WILL I EVER GROW UP? GOD I HOPE NOT!!!!

This Baseball tournament is held yearly each JUNE and welcomes Fire Departments from all over the United States to bring along a baseball team from any of your stations .. It is a fun weekend and benifits our CHILDREN BURN CENTER UNIT.

Hello Dee, I was wondering why I hadn't seen you on well I want you to know that You and Your Precious Son is Always in My Thoughts and My Prayers throughout life and I really admire you for giving such support towards all firefighters and I want you to know that we will always back you when you have your weak moments and we will come along and make you the Firefighters Angel that you are in Life to all of us in Our Lives. Dee can you send me a link where I can get a embrodiered Detroit Fire Dept Shirt and I will buy one or see what you have available and I would love to buy some of them.
