Preliminary Signal sent to investigate ringing alarms and smell of smoke from multiple residents. Engine 19 on scene with a working fire in a 3 story Apt bldg 240x80. B-44 updates with heavy fire in 1-4 corner on 3rd floor. Crews make entry with 2 lines. 2nd alarm sounded for manpower. Multiple residents assisted in exiting building. Truck 5 & B-47 secure utilities. Truck 7 exits roof due to sagging and now fire through roof. Defensive Operations in 1-4 corner while interior crews work lines to pinch off fire. Heavy fire through roof now brings in a 3rd Alarm by orders of B-56. Advancing fire on 3rd floor and cock loft breaches 2 firewalls allowing fire to travel across #1 side of bldg. Truck 6 attempts to trench cut roof but unable to due to conditions. Crews make second attempt at trench further down and were successful. Heavy damages to building. Multiple FF's with minor injuries. Multiple relief crews from next platoon brought in to overhaul and hose pick up.
