Pull to the Right for Sirens and Lights - Tuscaloosa Fire & Rescue Service, Alabama

We have all been there. You're driving along when you hear the unmistakable sound of a siren. You glance around and there it is -- an emergency vehicle with flashing lights. You want to get quickly and safely out of the way but do you know what to do? "Pull to the RIght for SIrens and Lights!"

I think we can all safely say that we've all been in that situation at least once.

Dont tell me you never had the urge to just want to get out and slap someone silly for not pulling over, lol, if you say no you have never been behind the wheel of any emergency vehicle I dont care if your in Fire, EMS, or Law enforcement there are times when you just want to slap someone for not pulling over.... Good work guys..........

As far as a Department PSA - it's a good message. But as far as a representation of a professional agency, not so much. Come on it's a little over the top with the aggressive behavior.

You got a fire officer in the back seat (unbelted) slapping a guy driving a POV. He is supposed to represent a citizen, (possibly a taxpayer) Not really showing them much respect. Mrs. Smith who might watch this PSA is now saying, "thats who I am paying for down there" Then you got two ambulance attendants impatient that you don't pull over to the right. You could have sensationalized the lack of yielding to all emergency vehicles with a clip of a rocking house fire or bystander CPR being preformed while the ambulance is delayed behind the POV. Heck instead of pointing and throwing your arms at the windshield, you could have had a conversation about how serious of a call you are trying to get to.

Is the "Move Over" a state law? Adding in the Police with issuing a fine to the same driver... All of which are less aggressive than violence. Technically, your supposed to be a driving defensively and not aggressive when responding... didn't see that message here.

Your next fatal Fire Department vs Civilian Motor Vehicle Accident, you will wished this video had never been created, as it will definately come into prosecution's evidence.

For those that are still confused, the right is the side where the grass is! LOL
And I agree with Robby, every car should have a FF like that in the back seat!

This happens way to much!!! Could we hire a truck monkey to do the samething...at least hard enough to where the squad has to stop and render first aid.
Don't people listen during driver training!!!! I'm sure this is told/taught nationwide to everyone getting a license.
This should be shown to everyone getting a license as a reminder.
Good job!!
