Too dangerous to swing ax standing on the ladder bars without extra fall protection.If the axman is sliding down,the mate behind him would be impacted.I suggest personally,the asst behind the axman always stay not in line with the asman when he's operating the vent cut.The asst can add a rope or webbing protection to the ladder bars.
