Good morning! How are we faithing? Good weekend around here. Rainy but good nether the less. Some of the things I hear from people simply astounds me. I am in utter disbelief that anyone would buy some of the "wisdom" put out in this world but then I remember that the Word told us this would happen and apparently that time is upon us. As simple a plan of grace offered by God and people keep falling in the same muck and blame God when in fact their own choices put them where they are. I am not condemning them I am stating an obvious condition that thy are apart from Jesus yet they still expect God to be their Santa. So the opinion is that God must make everything smooth and in their image? Go ahead and get off that high horse because that low branch will take you off quickly if you don't and it'll hurt real bad. Read the Word every day. Accept the gift of salvation. Seek God's face in everything. Be honest with yourself and stop wishing in one hand and...well, you know the rest. I can only speak from my vantage point and the healing growth I've seen in those I encounter. Jesus is real and the alternative is not very palatable. Immediate satisfaction can lead to trouble if you are not wise. That wisdom is found in the Word. As you go through this week, look beyond self and ask," how do these actions of mine impact myself long term and those around me?" You most likely will be surprised...

1Ti 4:1-3
But the Spirit saith expressly, that in later times some shall fall away from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons, through the hypocrisy of men that speak lies, branded in their own conscience as with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by them that believe and know the truth.

Jud 1:4
For there are certain men crept in privily, even they who were of old written of beforehand unto this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Jud 1:18
That they said to you, In the last time there shall be mockers, walking after their own ungodly lusts.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your blessings on us. Help us recognize when you touch our lives. Lord we ask for wisdom to make choices that ate in line with your Word. Help us be courageous in times of turmoil. Lord protect the innocent from the enemy, in Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing?  I have some people I know who are struggling with many issues on this earth.  Questions come and answers are not always readily available. I don't know why bad things happen to some good people and not others.  I have people tell me that they do all the right things but stuff still happens to them. So here it is; it does not matter what you do because where we live, things may or may not happen to you.  You have to remember who you are, an adopted child of God  with all the rights and privileges of a son or daughter.  You have the right to call on our Father for bad stuff and to praise him for all of it. Once you figure out that this occupation in this human vessel is temporary and we are but wanderers in this land you will stop whining about what you don't have and thanking for what you do. Strive for bigger and better? Sure we do but for what reason? Where and what is your perspective? We humans by nature think and desire to solve problems from cars to medical stuff and everything else but fretting or boo hooing because things don't go exactly the way we think it ought to go is quite selfish and childish.  What kids play and pay attention to the words they use...see if you don't use the same ones...just sayin...

2Ti 1:8-10
Be not ashamed therefore of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but suffer hardship with the gospel according to the power of God;  who saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before times eternal,  but hath now been manifested by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death, and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel

Heavenly Father,
We come before you asking forgiveness for our attitudes when things get rough.  Help us understand truth and what is really taking place. Lord we command the forces of satan to leave our houses. We stand on your Word that you will be with us all the time.  My house is a sanctuary and you are welcome to hang out here.  Bless all those with physical maladies and open eyes to truth unhindered by the enemy.  Show yourself in a way you cannot be ignored.  Bless all the children and the innocent, in Jesus name amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? Take the time to pray. Take the time to talk to God. Take the necessary time to read the Word. Do these things for you and for your well being. Do these things not as an exercise of "have to" but as an expression of love for the Father.  To many times I've heard people say,"I pray and read the Word and go to church" and they think that is all there is. Man, this is an on going relationship thus praying, reading the Word and going to church is out of love for the Father to be in his presence. If that is not why you do those things, time to get down and reconnect with your savior. Rituals, traditions and services have their place but this constant communication with God is where the rubber meets the road. Where else can we be brutally honest, ask any questions and know we are loved regardless?

Heb 10:22-25
let us draw near with a true heart in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience: and having our body washed with pure water,   let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for he is faithful that promised:  and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works;  not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh.

Heavenly Father,
Lord we lift up those mentioned and ask for healing. Help us remember you love us and have us in your hands. Help us be wise in all situations showing mercy and love.  We lift the lost to you and ask you open our eyes to oppotunities to share you...in Jesus name, amen

Great morning!  How are we faithing?  My mind wanders all over the place.  One minute I may see a 67 GTX and dream of banging gears and the next minute I see a newborn baby and coo at them followed by a red tailed hawk standing by the side of the road just looking around and that causes pause and reflection on God. In fact, all these things cause reflection on the majesty of my savior.  I dream a lot about places, people and future things.  Some are a result of interaction of the day and some I am convinced, are God sent.  When the dreams come to pass, how can I deny Godly intervention? These days are wrought with things that indeed follow prophecy and as a result we are studying prophecy on our Wednesday studies.  It can be real easy to focus on current events and start to lose perspective but remember, our enemies have already been whooped. You know, as all these things unfold in ours and others lives we need to keep our feet planted in the Word because if we don't we will succumb to worry, fret and depression. Jesus gives us peace even in a storm. He loves even when we stumble.  He is right there with us and all we need do is ask, this is a relationship with Messiah after all...

Rom 5:1-2
Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;  through whom also we have had our access by faith into this grace wherein we stand; and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

1Pe 5:8-9
Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour,  whom withstand stedfast in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are accomplished in your brethren who are in the world.

Jas 4:7-8
Be subject therefore unto God; but resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye doubleminded.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your love and wisdom. Lord we ask you keep us focused on what we need to be focused on. Bring your Word to mind in every situation.  Be with those mourning. Comfort and hold them in your arms. Lord we thank you for your sacrifice for us.  Please keep us wise and aware of the schemes of the enemy. In Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing?  The start of a new work week and a new month brings with it some apprehension for what lies ahead. Besides work this month we have a major holiday and all the stuff that goes with the season.  The T V ads and the paper ads will be overwhelming for us to consume. Remember that as a child of God we really don't have to get so wrapped up in this man made stuff that we get depressed or stressed out. If we find we are starting in that direction whether it is because we are broke or we are missing family, turn to who is the real peace.  Go to the master of it all.  Pray without doubt and lift up those you come in contact with...even the ones who tick you off, they're probably stressed too.  Read the Word. Let the Holy Spirit envelop your whole being.  Take notice of the grand things around you because perspective is so important.

Eph 2:11-13
  Wherefore remember, that once ye, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called Circumcision, in the flesh, made by hands;
that ye were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.  But now in Christ Jesus ye that once were far off are made nigh in the blood of Christ.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your love for us. Lord we praise and honor you.  We ask for wisdom an an appreciation for your creation.  Open our eyes to the grandest simple things.  Help us to remember where we came from and where we are going.  Thank you for your grace for us.  We ask you protect us from satans attacks. In Jesus name we pray,  amen

Good morning!  How are we faithing?  Had a lot of time to think and ponder events lately. I watch the wonder in my dogs and am simply amazed at God's handiwork. Saw a full moon that was simply dazzling this week!  Read so much I need to go sand on a car to prevent muscle atrophy!  You know, it really concerns me when I stumble across musings and comments about things from others who don't have a clue because they adhere to a line of thinking based on a formula that obviously is dedicated to disagreeing with anything Jesus linked. I am one of the first to admit that churches have dropped the ball in many areas but that doesn't mean biblical principles and truths are errant.  A bad driver doesn't mean the car is junk.  The atheist or agnostic party line, for lack of a better way to describe it, refutes anything and everything that even mentions "God". Please.  When ever was anything man dealt with 100% correct all the time?  Never would be that answer.  That line of thinking has removed God and moral fiber from our schools and is trying to remove it from society and to what end?  A collapse of society will eventually ensue.  Read history. Look and empires in the past that turned their back on God. Whatever event caused the actual collapse, ignoring Godly principles will be found as the catalyst.  When mankind starts prospering to the point they think they don't need God anymore, the downfall isn't far behind.

   Mat 9:12-13
But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.  But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Check this out man. We need to be aware of our own comfort and complacency. We are at fault for allowing the permeation of current attitudes. Why you ask? Read this;

Rev 3:13-18
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

I don't want to be complacent. I don't want to be so comfortable in my religion I forget to do as I believe. Introspective man...

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your grace and love. Lord, renew a desire and love for you and your creation that makes us see truth around us. Lord we do lift those hurting today. Comfort and assure them you are God almighty and all others are but copycats. Lord help us be courageous even when we get scared of man. Help us not fear man.  Protect the innocent and Holy Spirit, envelop us with yourself so we walk above all the junk with our eyes on Jesus. In Jesus name we pray, amen

Good morning!  How are we faithing?  When I signed on to this Pastor thing I knew I was naive and would have a huge learning curve.  I also knew the lessons  learned from dealing with others would be daunting but wow, it is new daily.  The more I learn the more I recognize how much more there is to learn. I also find so much misinformation about our savior is our there. Some things that are instilled have no basis in scripture and removing age old things like that is down right hard.  While this is going on I see the same things crop up in me that I didn't even know were in me.  I do not like talking about me in these daily prayers but sometimes it's all I can use for reference. As I seek the Lord in all I do I find my heart going out to people who don't know the peace I have found.  I find I notice more junk being spoon fed to the masses.  I see scripture and prophecy unfolding. I hear dismissive comments to things that are so obvious to me but I keep remembering where I came from.  I find myself urging everyone to question everything including my teachings.

Col 2:8
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

That verse speaks volumes because it tells us to not be fooled by things of this world but everything seen through Christ.  It is real easy just by our nature to act a certain way, do certain things or speak a certain way but if it is not through Jesus and in love it's like a bell ringing in our ears. This I have learned by listening close to people and by Jesus' example, love. This I have learned, hate the sin not the sinner because I am one of those and I have been forgiven. Correct when proper and to shut up too. It ain't about you and me but Jesus so when new things come that just blow me away, I pray.

Gal 4:3-5
Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:  But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

2Co 4:6
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Good morning!  How are we faithing?  Whew! Away from the computer for Thanksgiving!   Did you have a good holiday weekend?  I prayed you did.  I saw an outpouring this past week that was praise worthy.  People stepping up to help others in need and it was a blessing to see.
I make mistakes regularly and I have learned to repent as soon as I realize.  Now sometimes it takes awhile for the realization to hit. Age they tell me, stubbornness truth be told. I try to live upright and holy not because I think I am better or anything like that but because I love my Lord and he told me to. He told all of us to be holy.  The struggles with this world is a pain in the drain many times but we are blessed with the knowledge that this is but a vapor therefore endurance comes from the Lord and his love.  Praising in the storms is how we keep our focus on the Lord and not back on the circumstances. Is it easy? Sometimes not but that is when we have to be diligent in our praise. It will lift us up out of the doldrums man! The Israelites had a tendency to forget the Red Sea crossing, the Manna, the water in the desert and had to be reminded of God's grace and power and love.  Man I don't want to do that thus...praise him in the storms...

Luk 5:32
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Mar 2:17
When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

 1Ti 1:15
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Jer 10:24

O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing.

Good morning!  How are we faithing?  The thankfulness we have for the things in our lives can become idols if we are not careful.  Haven't you seen people who treat the church as God?  Have you noticed we can idolize our jobs? Our kids?  Our stuff? Man o man that's a dangerous row to hoe.  Wisdom teaches that there is none other than God that is worthy of our praise.  Of course we encourage others to do better and to strive to become successful at their endeavours but taking that praise to heart is where humble flies out the window.  When we think ourselves great we can step into a dangerous place.  I know what I'm good at and where I suck.  I also remember that the talents I have came from God therefore encouragement and accolades that I get get handed over to God.  Yes I am pleased as you are when a pat comes but don't ever forget to thank and praise our Lord for the talents he gave us.  Just think a bout this honestly and act appropriately.

Rom 1:20-21
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Pro 3:13-17
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.  For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.  She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.  Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.  Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

praise report; Baily Ford is cancer free!!
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your wisdom and grace that saves us. Thank you for blessing that little girl Baily.  Let your sovereignty be made known to everyone! Lord we thank you for your Word! Lord we ask for wisdom to deal with people and things honorably and upright.  Thank you for all you've given us, in Jesus name, amen
