The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

While I will say I was seriously impressed with the multi-system mutual-aid collaboration on this issue... I personally saw at least 8 different Police-ing agencies were involved, each successfully managing a different region of the campus.. umpteen firefighters doing room by room bldg evacuations...

.

and since this happened in our Level I trauma center ER - I am sure patients died BECAUSE of this incident...  for quite a while they just held the helicopters in a holding pattern doing laps around the airspace around the hospital - until they finally settled on officially closing the hospital to all incoming patients... then had to divert the incoming helicopters, some who had done laps around the hospital for an hour already waiting to land....  that sucks for lots of people...

.

the patients and family members in the waiting room and ER were snuck out back exits and moved elsewhere in the hospital, while the Psych Dept talked this guy out of the ER into the parking lot where the bomb squad was able to check out the devise he was wearing... thank God it was a psych issue and not a real explosive devise!!

I love the bomb squad.... uhm... apparently as a colleague... or on tv... more than as my rescuer... just sayin...

Hey Good Morning....

.

I am still sick sick sick - but at this specific moment not too pissed off anymore... I think I am too sick to sustained piss-off-ivity for long, not enough energy *insert sleepy eyes here*

.

The mechanic was able to manually support the car starting by manipulating the distributor in his hand while I started the car - so he said it could have several internal issues - today the initial plan was to make sure that no water was in it and the connections were truly clear and if that did not sustain, then to replace the distributor - for just as you said, a problem, despite "new-ness"...

.

Guido swinging by would be nice - so come on down now :)

.

and btw the FFs will ALWAYS be saying sh*t like "some should never pick up a tool" even after people have been successful FFs for 30 yrs - some people are still just arrogant and believe they are God's gift to FFing and ALL OTHERS are inferior.... it is such a ridiculous belief.... sorry they are rambling it around you...... BUT so glad you are on the up-swing :D

.

Jim thanks for your input, hope the rest of this week settles down for you - seems as though you have had your share of weird lately...

If you want Heather I can come down and play Guido with your mechanic....

Jim I love it when a man speaks nice...  :)
