Nicknames

Okay, we all have nicknames for our guys in the station. What are some of the names used in you station? I'll start it off....Come along Delong, Sweet Pete, Doc, Gumby, Black Bart.

We have a guy in the dept. that I like to call "No chooze"---he has a habit of responding with no shoes on....at one of the meetings I gave him a pair of baby sneakers and told him he needed to start there..

Have a guy who just started and his no kidding he looks like Farva from Super Troopers. It just sounds right. Welcome aboard, "Farva!"

We have twinkle toes after one of my fellow rookies opened a hose way too fast and went for a fly. New guy we call Frenchie after a convoluted story to do with his pink Stethoscope. Another one Radio as he put another stations truck en route instead of the one he was in and confused the hell out of dispatch.

We have Yank, YellaFella, BP (Big Phil), Grizzly Adams, Bump, Big Cheese, Rogain, and Shank.

When I was in rookie school we had: Taco/Marlboro Man, Can't Get Right, Hipz-N-Lipz, Breeze, Skinny, SportDaddy/Books, Rock-N-Roll Steve, Mickey, Louie-Lastic/Defying Gravity, Frankenstein, Little Leno, CueBall, Taz/Wildman, and myself aka Rev/Stomp.
