24 hr shifts

I am looking for any info or research on 24 hr shifts vs split shift (ex: 10/14hr day/night). Ihave found some info on it but not enough. please help.

We currently work a 24 hour shift. We have 4 tours of firefighters. So it's 1 day on 3 days off. Before we worked what we called 10's and 14's. 2- 10 hr days off 48 hrs then 2- 14 hour nights , then 3 days off. If there's anything i can help you with. E-mail me at Laddercapt1@yahoo.com.
