Mike, you're so right. That increases the importance of preparing all our folks to establish and take Command. First Officer, or senior firefighter on scene takes command until the designated Command Officer arrives and command is transferred. Thanks for your thoughts.

ICS is a most valuable tool. We must also concern ourselves with the problems that exist prior to the ICS setup. This is where officers of all ranks need to put more focus on. Many things occur before the ICS is set. It is something that is often overlooked. I will go over more as we go. Stay Safe...
