Calls that make you Go "How the Heck"??
This spring Department was called to a single vehicle roll over, with ejection. Driver later admitied to doing around 150kmph in fog. You could actually see where the 2 ejected patients had hit the snow and slid along the surface. Everyone else managed to get out of the vehicle on their own by the time we got there. Worse injury...... 1 broken collar bone. They say God protects Babies and Fools.

Myself and my DC were out driving in his POV lastnight. A very damp and thick fog night. Almost hit a horse in his Tahoe. If it was in our lane we would have cleaned it. We turned around and flipped the LEDs on and followed the horse while trying to figure out who it belonged too. Turns out it was the "town fool" so to speak who had left for a while and left someone with no clue about horses to try and take care of it.

Also, we had a call for a flooded basement when it hasn't rained for 2 weeks. Got us a bit confused until we found out the guys water pump had let go and was just gravity feeding water from his well into his basement.

James your comment about babies and fools made me smile if it wasnt for that me and my best friend in high school would have had very different lives. We were young stupid and intoxicated hit a tree we BOTH went throught the windshield of his VW Rabbit. 1 broken nose and 1 dislocated shoulder later we took it to heart to not drive while intoxicated and TO wear our safety belts.
So thanks to God looking out for me I am now able to respond to like accidents and go "HUH???"
