Thanks for the input Are you talking about running the fire pump off of the vehicle fuel tank Several depts in our county also use foam for brush fires it seems to do a good job but how expensive is it Thanks, Steve

Steve, the 2 fire departments I have worked for in eastern oregon 1 as a volunteer the current one as a paid dod firefighter use skids built by cascadefire. We have had very good luck with them. A few points if the truck that is to have them mounted is a diesel then spend the extra money for the diesel engined pump. A built in foam tank is a nice thing to have. I like 2 1/2" tank fill connections but you can make a connection with adapters if the price is too high. A word of caution the dod department I work for decided to use 1 foam for everything. So they bought alcohol resistant AFFF. With the simple eductors mounted on our skids the thicker foam wont work. Use class A foam only! My two cents worth hopefully I have given you some good things to look at! good luck with your skid purchase!
