Know your Vitals and what they mean there are alot of questions involving them such as

You arrive on scene to find a 56 yr old man who has fallen off his house. The patients vitals are bp 190/120, hr 145, resp 34 shallow, D-stick 84, skin cool and clammy. Patient complains of pain in the chest and left upper extremity. What care should this patient recieve?

A. Immediatly take c-spine precautions. Have your partner apply a c collar while you go get a back board from the truck. Place patient on back board and load and go preforming a detailed physical exam on the way.

B. Immediatly take c-spine precautions. Have your partner apply a c collar. Apply oxygen to the patient via a nasal canula at 10 lpm. Place patient on back board and load and go preforming a detailed physical exam on the way.

C. Find out if patient has a prescription for nitroglycerin. Administer 1 nirtotab sublingual. Place patient in C-collar, CID, and Long spineboard. Take vitals again. Load patient into ambulance and transport code 3. Enroute monitor vitals every 5 minutes

D. Find out if patient has a prescription for nitroglycerin. Administer 1 nirtotab subcutanious and Oxygen via a non rebreathing mask at 15 lpm. Place patient in C-collar, CID, and Long spineboard. Take vitals again. Load patient into ambulance and transport code 3. Enroute monitor vitals every 5 minutes.

There are the common knowledge questions as well my best advice was get you a book that has tests in it and practice practice practice!!!
Thanks guys, i've been getting pretty nervous about registry. My finals are next week, then registry within the following week. I've done a good deal of studying but i plan on doing much more, and Practicing scenario questions, i've heard that is what gets most people
what no guess on that one lol oh well I bet you can doo it well I hope so I ll give you a hint its in the wording
I am currently an Intermediate. I took my National Registry test back in 1998 so I know things have changed greatly from when I have taken it until now. My husband is currently in a basic class and will be taking his test in May. I have told him to make sure you read the questions carfully because there will always be two wrong answers right off the bat. Take your time on the questions and if you can't remember the answer right off the bat continue on because you will more than likely run into a similiar question and it will jog your memory.
I passed! a little late on updating this tho. It wasn't bad as I had thought
D sounds the closest to the correct answer. I've been an EMT before back in the 90's and didn't keep it up so I gotta get recertified and a lot of stuff has changed. The national registry test scares the daylights out of me just to be honest with everyone.
Congrats Coty that's awesome!!
