Help I am building some trench panels and trying to find out the measurement for cutting the corners on the strongbacks to make them consistent with other teams. Also need measurements for the panels themselves to cut the corners. Anyone know??

Just an architectural/structural thought - It's easier to run the panels vertically and then have a cross bar running horizontally adding the arch spreaders along every panel.

With the two foot is what we have done, you're right it may not be an OSHA thing but it is what we have played with. We have a space at the Operating Engineers training site and we played a variety of types of trenchs and we do the two foot gig just becuase we do it for other. So in other words we do it for one so we do it other so as to keep things straight. Air lines? shoot a pair of panels (3 lines) on the next pair shoot the middle take to top off of the first pair, shoot the top one on the second pair, get a rescuer in the space on a ladder remove what lines you can a shoot the bottom??? Or buy two more hoses(LOL)

Working an operational level trench shoot the bottom first with an autolock strut and work your way up, come in the opposite direction. Using wood and ellis screw jacks work from the top down. If working a deeper than 8ft trench we still start at the bottom but anything over 8ft struts are two foot on center i.e. 12 ft deep trench struts at 10ft-8ft 4ft and 2ft from the lip. be safe
