I have been in the fire service for over 26 years. For many of those years I have been working with trainers and instructors. Have been to many conferences and seminars including FDIC, Firehouse and the National Fire Academy.

Fire instructors are always looking for help with one program or another. A common one I hear people asking for help on is Driver Training. Some departments have well designed and comprehensive driver training programs and others, well others don't have much.

NFPA 1002 has a list of Job Performace Qualifications to help departments with this subject. I will soon be reviewing our program and have started collecting new information for the update. While searching the internet I found an organization that took the 1002 requirements and made a useable grading/check sheet.

I have attached this file for all. I wish I could remember what department/organization published this because it is very good and I would like to thank them for their work. I plan on customizing this for our departments specific needs and then incorporating it into our training program. Thought some of you might like to do the same.

Whoever published this document. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
