I want to thank you for making a comment about my discussion. I totally and wholeheartedly agree witj you on everything you have said. I have many years in the EMS service but only 2 1/2yrs in fire and my company wanted me to run for 2nd LT...I dont think I have the experience yet for that, though I have been taking courses and trying to learn as much as I can.
Be Careful and Stay Safe.
Thanks again, Kathy

Elmer retired in 1993, a year before I got there. I did meet him though, great guy. I'm sorry to inform you that Elmer passed away about 5 or 6 years ago. Stay safe!
Years ago I was told that if you don't acknowledge EVERYBODY, then don't acknowledge ANYBODY. I should have gone on longer and added the rest. You have a great site and there was nothing about the names on there other than the ones I hurriedly typed in in an effort to get that post out. Sorry.
Thanks for the compliment(s). Though there will be those that find them abrasive or insulting, as the (very versatile) saying goes: You can always tell a volunteer firefighter, you just can't tell him much.
Stay safe,
jack
Your welcome! I enjoy reading your material, it's been very educational. It's my hope that more members would take the time, and review the more serious lessons that are provided.
Welcome to the FF Nation. I am glad you dropped in to join the group. Dont be shy. There is lots to do, read and be involved with. Your participation and involvement is important to us all. Takes a bit to kinda figure it all out but you will be glad you did. Have fun and look around.
