I would like to know why fire departments can't get together and hold on-line Swap Meets for excess equipment and other items. Is this something that you feel would be a valuable assest to your department?

my department is township owned and operated so anything that is worth more than $250 has to be put up for a public auction by sealed bids. we have donated surplus items to departments that had a need for our surplus or outdated things but had to have the county prosecutor write up a contract. dont know how others operate but thats our issue.
