One Reason People Get Frustrated at the Police

Taken from KCMQ.com.

Today’s award goes to a state trooper in Massachusetts for unfairly ticketing a married couple. Jennifer Davis was stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic while she was in labor, with contractions just 3 minutes apart. Her husband was trying to stay calm, but was driving in the breakdown lane of the highway. They pulled up behind a state trooper to ask for his assistance, and instead of helping them get to the hospital, he gave them a $100 citation for driving in the breakdown lane. Luckily Jennifer still made it to the hospital on time before her daughter was born. Gee dude - thanks for the help!

Stay Safe,

I bet they did not name him after the officer.

Ya know, I wish I was an attorney. I'd love to get the officer on the stand.

Alisha....relax...there is a thing in the fireservice and emergency services called a "sense of humor"....I have been in classes with all kinds of Law enforcement personnel and it is a very common joke...I would not recommend pushing one around though....Paul

ridiculous! ... on a similar note, one of our local paramedics got arrested on-scene with a patient present for "assauling a police officer" when she pushed him away from her patient who was already combative and he was causing to become more escalated. This is why cops and EMS cannot seem to get along

Since Mom and Baby are doing well this is actually kind of funny....although one would think even if this cop was having a bad day that a little common sense would prevail????? I hope these folks contest the ticket and the cop has the nerve to actually show up for the hearing so hopefully if the judge has a little common sense he can give this guy a bit of a bad time. My guess is though after thinking about it he probably wouldn't show up to the court hearing because I'm sure he's getting alot of razzing from his fellow officers and family.

I'm guessing he was having a very bad day, and thank goodness mother and child are doing well. We have alot of those "Holier- then- thou" types here, as I'm sure everyone does. They sometimes need reminded that we all (EMS) are here to do the same types of jobs..we all just carry different tools!!!!
