Montréal: Fire Rips Through Townhouse Complex

At 2h pm on Saturday July 25th 2020, fire crews from the Montreal fire dept were deployed to a structure fire at the corner of Eugenie-Tessier Street and 91st Avenue. They engaged in what would end up being a lengthy four alarm fire battle that lasted until late in the evening. Heavy flames spread along the attached units and damaged over 20 apartments from which residents had to relocate. The important blaze mobilised numerous emergency services in the otherwise quiet suburb of Pointe-aux-Trembles located in the most eastern part of Montreal Island in Quebec, Canada. Scorching temperatures created an additional challenge for firefighters, some of them were assessed on the scene by paramedics and one was transported to hospital. No other injuries were reported and residents from the neighborhood along with various humanitarian organisations have organised a fundraising for the disaster victims.

Montreal: CPR at Fatal Apartment Fire 11-25-2018

The 4K Guy - À 6h30 ce matin un incendie a fait un mort aux intersections Decelles et Appleton dans le cartier Côte-des-Neiges à Montréal. Les pompiers ont répondu à l'appel avant d'engager une deuxième alarme. Un homme dans la soixantaine a été repéré à l'intérieur de l'immeuble résidentiel. Il a été transporté à l'extérieur de l'édifice où les équipes d'urgence lui ont prodigué les premiers soins. Des pompiers ont été observés pratiquer le RCR sur la victime alors que d'autres membres du SIM et de US transportaient la civière vers une ambulance. L'homme a été transporté à l'hopital où son décès a été constaté. Un pompier du SIM a souffert de blessûres ne mettant pas sa vie en danger.

At 6h30 this morning a fire left one person dead at the corner of Decelles and Appleton in the Cote-des-Neiges suburb of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Fire crews responded to the call this morning before raising the incident to a second alarm. A man in his sixties was located inside the residential building. He was transported outside where first aid was administered. Firemen were seen performing CPR on the victim while other crews carried the stretcher to an ambulance. The victim suffered heavy burns among other fatal injuries. He was declared dead in hospital after his arrival. A fireman from the SIM suffered non life-threatening injuries. A safety perimeter was setup and investigators were called in.

Vancouver Three-Alarm Fire

Canadian Emergency Buff - On April 25th 2018 just before 10:00pm Vancouver Fire & Rescue Services was alerted of a possible structure fire on East Pender at Metropolitan Fine Printers. When the first crews arrived on scene they had smoke showing from the front & rear of the building. As crews were inside, they found the blaze to be spreading forcing the crews inside to evacuate and fight the blaze from a defensive attack. A 2nd & 3rd Alarms were called to fight the blaze bringing more than 60+ fire crews to the scene. The Hazmat team was called to the scene but were canceled while on scene as there was nothing they could do to stop the chemicals burning to the air. At 4:38 mark of the video you see part of the building come down. No word in what caused the fire to start. No injuries were reported & no one was inside the building at the time of the blaze. Pierrefonds, Quebec Building Fire

The 4K Guy - At 5h pm today multiple SIM units along with SPVM cruisers responded to the report of a structure fire at the corner of Hyman and Sunnybrook in Pierrefonds. The call came in at a residential three story apartment building located in the West Island part of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Among others, a T-Rex 115' articulated platform drove on a dusty shoulder to pass traffic using lights and sirens. Upon arrival, windows and doors from a rear upper floor unit were opened likely to ventilate the structure. The minor fire remained at the 1st alarm stage and one person seemed to have been affected by smoke. Police cars from the SPVM assure traffic management and blocked entrances to the scene, while other firetrucks and emergency vehicles arrived.
