Pennsylvania Extrication, Helmet Cam View

YouTube/Firtog - 1-30-12 @ 1215 hrs Station 38 Rescue 36 and 40 along with Medic 62 were dispatched to Rt145 and Columbia for the accident with Rollover and Rescue, Crews arrived on location stabilized the vehicle and deployed to tools. Personnel rolled the roof down and freed the victim which was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries

you fellas did a good job extrcating the paitent but why was there truck with jaws positioned so far away sure you needed to secure it to apparatus but what would happen if you were 5 feet short of reching the vehicle something to think about maybe need to do better plannig on positioning equipment it could save you some time! the next time it might not work and by the time you reposition the equipment you might not save a critical and efficent extacation! I know that it takes plannning to get the most efficent and could save you a lot of headackes latter.

I couldn't help but notice those special new design turn out jeans and turn out jumpers/pull overs being worn by some members. Seemed to be an interesting way to do what appears to be reasonably straight forward extrication.
