We have one pumper outfitted with this for about 2 years. It really doesn't make a lot of difference in my area. There are so many "good ole boys" running around with them installed on their pickups, that people do not pay any more attention to them than regular air horns.

I also would not install them on the roof of an apparatus. There is probably a reason we don't have sirens on the roofs.

I did a fill in assignment at another department's station next to railroad tracks when a train came through. It did kinda confuse the train engineer, but even he didn't yield.
