Posted September 15, 2009. This public domain movie, made in 1927is a film of FDNY Chief John Kenlon in his Chief's Car responding to a fire. Present day emergency warning sounds have been added to give it a little life.

It is a silent movie.... Turn your speakers off and you will hear it as it was filmed.

Brilliant! My daughters loved seeing the bell and calling out "Clang! Clang!"

Awesome video, wish they would not have put on the power sirens or horns and just left it either silent or with the bell only.
