I am pretty sure his name was James, at the time, 1978,79 he was a Rescue1 loo.... much of our discussion (s) were based on early bail outs techniques and potential for using and teaching on a simple level....Not sure how long he remained on 1's I was under the impression he stayed quite a few years, but if he made Captain and beyond,..Oh if you were refering to my anology of the Cairns story, and "meeting standards" There is definately a LOT of truth to it, including the true Leather Forever Movement
Hi ya, It took me a few minutes to recall the name Just because you asked of course Because this is "public" Idontlike toname drop, you know , But his last was Curran which I most likely mispelled but forgive me it was 30 years ago,,..lol sometimes I think I spend way too much time on this thing.. Its hard to not step in when you read some of this "new age" crap the brainwashing the "safetyfags" got us doing.. I rode open cabs and "riot cabbed" ALF's and It makes me sick when we are turning out and snot nosed asks me to close my window cuz its cold out The other night returning from a box, we caught a good whiff, turned aound and pinned it down found a woodstove in a commercial workshop the stove pipe was clogged and cherry red, twenty minutes "in the cold" at midnight is easier then 6 hours chasing fire across a divided block building 200 x 400 with 9 buisnesses out of buisness..lol hehehe
As I understand it, the fire started in E2 and spread to the ambulance. No one was there so it's being investigated to see what happened. Started around noontime.
Take care

hey, thanks for the idea, These are pics from mid to late 1950s of some of our first engines. They were found by one of our new firefighters, they are slides from when his grand father was on our department.
Yeah I made that one. As far as I know no one was hurt. It first went up Friday night a couple weeks ago, made a good hit on it and the house would have been repairable. It was actually Caz's call. We got sent back home, and the next morning got popped for a rekindle there. By the time someone called it in and everyone got there, it was fully involved and not salvageable. I think the home owners might have been home on Friday night when it first went up but they got out. I never heard what the cause was of it.
