The Rush NY Stevens-Connor American Legion Post recognized three long time Rush firefighters at there February meeting. (Photo Left to Right) Firefighter/EMT, Past Chief, Present EMS Director and present Commissioner Robert Faugh was recognized for his 45 years of service and involvement with local, regional and state fire/EMS organizations, Deputy EMS Coordinator, NYS Fire Districts, FASNY committees, all the training he has provided on a local and state level and his 26 years of service to the citizens as a NY State Trooper. Mike (Peewee) Terzo was recognized for his service as a firefighter, explorer post advisor, Battalion Fire Coordinator and water rescue command officer and life saving efforts in 2004 from which he received the states highest life saving award for the year from FASNY. Present firefighter, Past Chief, Commissioner, membership chairman since 1965, Alvin Sweet was recognized for his local contributions and holding offices in many Monroe County fire organizations and state fire (FASNY) committees. Several members of the fire department, explorer post and their families attended the event. Their names and accomplishment will be sent on to the state legion for consideration for a state award.
