preliminary report: 2 story wood frame 25 x 60  heavy fire showing 1st and 2nd floor. 2 - 2-1/2's going into operation - requesting tower ladder (if not already coming) and additional engine and ladder." This would be a defensive operation from the exposure 1 side (assuming that where the fire is going to be exposure 1). If their is a known life hazard I might try to get in from the exposure 3 side for a very limited search depending on the fire condition. That house is gone---better get to the exposure and check that for fire especially with that wind.
