Fire/Rescue Autism is dedicated to increase Autism Awareness for the First Responders. Our members have trained over 10,000 firefighters and EMT's in the United States in Autism Awareness and we have given First Responders the tools necessary to mitigate incidents that they may come across. We are available to assist your department or organization in setting up a training cycle to present this very important topic. It is up to you to be proactive as this effects 1 in 91 (CDC Statistic) people today and it is growing at a rate of 10 - 15% per year. It is not a matter of IF you will come in contact with someone from the Autism Community, it is most definitely WHEN you do.

Thanks for your post Kali. We have trained over 9000 fire/EMS in Massachusetts in the past 4 years and have had great feedback about the training and many notes of how the training worked in the field. One department had the class at 10 am and responded to an incident at 2 pm the same day. With 1 in 91 children being diagnosed today, it is most likey responders will face this call.
