Firefighters

People dont understand what we do and why we do it. First off its somethin we love with our whole hearts rite next our familys. This requires to be ready at a moments notice ready to save someone or there stuff. At any hour of the nite or day no matter what. Yes its a thrill but its a gamble. But its worth it the feelin is unmatched. And it makes you really open ur eyes to realize... We are mortal and everybody dies. And after you realize that you live like you never have its like you can finally see. And once you understand that we do this out of love we all have familys we leave each time our pagers go off cause someone is in need. We dont know if we will make it back we never let that thought cross our minds. We cant allow it to. For fear if we do we mite not see our familys again.Also it says in the bible John 15:12-13 " No one has greater love than this,that someone would lay down his life for his friends".Also Phillppians 4:13 "I am able to do all things throuhg Him who strenghtens me" We all hold these word close to our heart for they are true.

It is all to true that many many people will never understand how we look at life and the service. We all at some point become disappointed with people who just dont get it. Sometimes we must just realize that it is diffacult for others to understand and find peace in the fact that we do understand what we must do for others in need. We do what we do because we want to be in the service along side others that do understand and can perform when the pager frys. We do so to help the people who cant help themselves. We are firefighters sent to do a job that many cant or wont or just dont know what to do.....
