FireEMSBlogs.com, Firehouse Zen and You
I'm bringing this information to you because generally, there is some excellent information in these blogs that I see also discussed in Firefighter Nation, and I wondered if each of you have checked it out.
I generally have only a little on-line time for blogging and chat and stuff in my very hectic schedule, so I don't get over here as much as I used to, and for those of you who followed some of my stuff here and came over and checked out Firehouse Zen, I appreciate it. For those of you who have taken time to comment, I appreciate that even more. But we'd love to see you visit and see what we have to offer and you may very well bring something to the table that we haven't considered, so please, share your views as well.
I know some other great blogs out there as well, and if you go to Firehouse Zen, they are also located in my navigation over on the right. Blogs like Tom's at Prehospital 12-Lead EKG and Capt. Joe Schmoe's Report on Conditions, as well as Pete at Star of Life Law. Take some time to visit each of these sites and learn a little more about what is out there for you to use in your daily battle on the street.

Well, Mick:
Alot has been going on since you posted this.
Jeremy was ousted at FireDaily and replaced by John Mitchell...
Quite a trick when you consider that Mitchell would be 96 if he wasn't DEAD.
As you may remember, Mitchell served as Nixon's Attorney General, was convicted for his part in Watergate and smoked his pipe to his fatal heart attack in 1988.
Unless we are talkin' about a different John Mitchell.
In that case, nevermind.

Now I feel lousy, Mick.
The comment I left was my attempt at humor among my partners. I shouldn't have left it and publicly apologize to you for it. One thing I'm learning is that my dry sense of humor doesn't translate well when using ones and zeroes. Not accompanied by the correct tone, such a comment invites misinterpretation- with this being a shining example.
Fire Daily has been around for all of 75 days, and I feel honored and extremely lucky to be able to post my ramblings among the greats that have been around for years. You guys have built a foundation so that newbies like me can come along and stumble their way into some form of the success you've long since earned.
I have learned much from FirehouseZen for a long time now, and I just got schooled again. You owe an apology to no one, rather I ask you for to forgive me.
I'll be adding this to my growing list confession on Wednesday.

I feel lousy for not including everyone else's site links on here as well. We have some amazing bloggers in this group and in no way does my excluding them make them any less of a place to visit. That's the problem when you don't take the time to include everyone.
There's Jeremy at FireDaily that has some excellent information, as well as the Firefighter Blog, S.A.F.E. Firefighter, Backstep Firefighter, Raising Ladders, and more. Come check us out and my apologies in advance to all the EMS sites I didn't mention because I'm on my way to Mass.

For those of you who might not know, Mick has been blogging his opinions on discussion boards as "truck6alpha" for years. Or is it "truckalpha6"? hmmm. That's what happens when you get old. ;-)
