SOPs - Sexual Harassment and Co-Ed Bunks
Our department has taken a major growth spurt over the past year. Because of that we are in the process of developing new SOPs to cover sexual harassment, and as well, we are having to make an SOP to cover co-ed station sleeping arrangements now that there are three active women on the force.
I'm wondering if there are any of you out there who have such SOPs in place for a volunteer station that might be willing to let me take a peek and give us a "jumping off" point to make certain we cover all our bases.
It's sad that any of us have to write such SOPs - but at the same time it's a good thing because our department is growing, in numbers and in skills and diversity and that is never a bad thing!

Hi guys. We haven't had any problems of sexual harassment, but our department has grown rather quickly and now has three girls on it, so we are trying to put policies in place BEFORE something happens. My apologies if I sent a different signal. We're just trying to grow with our dept. :)

we just did some renovations to our volley house about a year ago and we went from 2 bunk rooms to one. we probally have about 10 or so female fire fighters and emts and medics and i've only seen one female sleep in the female bunkroom when we had it and the only other people to sleep in it were the snorers. we even had a female live in emt and she had a bunk in the male bunkroom. you've got to go with your particular needs for your dept.
