Caught a working fire right next door

I was working late yesterday (as I usually do) at the fire academy and overheard Forks Fire Department (Cheektowaga NY) get banged out for a working fire. Their station is right across the street so I could hear the apparatus sirens winding up and then stopping abruptly shortly thereafter.

I missed the dispatcher give the address so I stepped outside to take a look. What I saw was the sky filling with thick black smoke and a raging fire right next door to our fire academy.

I just recently finished a DVD of my Presentation done at the Marmora and Lake Fire Dept. done in front of 502. Firefighter One LLC

Ok, It is Trade Show Season and I am all over the place. My Next stop puts me at Virginia Beach ( shucks... The Beach) After that it is my home state (Yuk) and then on to Ohio. After that things should slow down for a while. I love it.. meeting people from different agencies and getting to see their equipment.

Maltese Cross

Did I mention to you all that I wear a Silver 3/4 of an inch maltese cross necklace around my neck 24/7/365? If I need some encouragement, I kiss it. If I need some strength, i kiss it. If I need some motivation, i kiss it. If I'm sitting in class fighting through a blue book exam or while sweating bullets and every muscle in my body burns from working out, I kiss it to remind myself that everything I do in my life on a day to day basis is just getting me ready for my future career.
