What is going on?

I must have fallen asleep and woken up in a very ugly world. There are people posting on a blog on ctpost.com criticizing firefighters for conducting boot drives to raise money for the fallen brothers' families and for showing up in such large numbers because "they're union guys. There are equally obnoxious posts on facebook. What is going on? Are there people that insensitive and full of hate out there?

Rescue Report: Fort Worth Firefighters Quickly Switch Gears to Perform Trench Rescue

By Tom Vines

Firefighters often arrive at the scene of a rescue only to find that the situation is completely different from what the 911 call reported. This was the case on June 2, when the Fort Worth (Texas) Fire Department responded to a 911 call that reported a fallen construction crane with persons trapped. Although this wasn’t exactly what responders found when they arrived on scene, the incident shows how with the right… Continue

P90X Workout

I've been a firefighter for going on 9 years now and know how important it is to be in good shape. After all, Heart Attacks are the number one killer of firefighters. I've always considered myself to be in fairly good shape, but over the years the I've gained some weight and its starting to show. After alot of research my wife and I decided to do the P90X workout.
