About Me:
In 1999 I started a parade company called Moose's Antique Fire Brigade. We attend parades, shows, charity events, and conventions with our privately owned fire apparatus. I was voted the first position of Brigade Chief, not a common term in the fire service... Perfect! Now I serve as the Brigade Chief.
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I have seen some horrible things in my time as a civilian, but was unable to do anything to remedy the situation. Too many people suffering needless injuries & deaths that if there was maybe one more able bodied person on scene, then maybe e could be the one to give the helping hand to safety, or free someone up on the scene that could. I became that one. That one. One of many men & women that put their tail on the line to save another.

Why I Love Fire/EMS
being able to help others that need a hand.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
getting qualified personnel to the scenes of any emergencies "during the day". The politics in some companies in my opinion are ridiculous. People with certain affiliations, & families are the "click". OK you have them almost everywhere. BUT!!! when the alarm goes off, they should be left back at the station with your walking shoes. We are all supposed to be out there to protect life & property, so... there is no need to argue about things not related to the scene on the scene.
