I've been working on getting a proposal together to present to my admin. for switching our fog-nozzles out for smooth bore on our high-rise packs. I would like to hear some opinions & good facts on the advantages or disadvantages to this.
"We just got the Bullard T4 very nice a big step over our old MSA. Theres so much we can do with it. Our guys love it. So far I have used it at some fires and an MVA where the guy was claiming his wife was in the car, We found out though that she was…"
"We have had a ISG Talisman Elite for many years now, and intend to replace it with a new Draeger unit as selected by the Authority. The primary reason is that the local; agent here has advised us that they are no longer supporting ISG. I have used…"
"We are carrying 100 ft, lightweight 1 3/4", hose with Elkhart LP205 fog nozzles. 200gpm@75 psi but at 45psi you can still get 100gpm if you encounter problems on your standpipe. We attach 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 gated wyes to our packs as well as a 1 1/2…"
"We also created highrise packs with Akron Saberjet nozzles. Best of both worlds, use it as a smooth bore, or a combo nozzle. With a 15/16 orifice you can nearly achieve 200gpm or switch over to the fog pattern for arount 100 gpm at low pressures."
Looking for this EMS gentleman.docxI am looking for the gentleman in the photo whom I believe lives in the area of Georgia. He has done nothing whatsoever wrong, nor am I chasing him for anything, but someone is operating in the UK on the pretence of being him and attempting to extort money from innocent people and I think he should know all about it. After all, this is not only an indictment on him but also on the trust people have in the EMS services (I refer to the attached photo displaying the EMS badge which has been deliberately used to promote his honesty). I know I would want to know if it was being done to me. So if you recognise him, can you please advise me or ask him to contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone on 00 44 1566 770 751. If you or the gentleman in the photo would like to call me, I am happy to call you straight back and I will give him all the details on this matter. Stay Safe Annie
Truck work is some what of a passion of mine. It started when I first got into the fire service. The Ladder Truck was the second out unit, and I lived far enough from the station that I hardly ever made first out. So I was exposed to "truck work" early on and liked it.
