I think tomorrow for training we will work on drafting. There are a lot of new people on the department that have never had to do this as well as the older folks who probably could use a refresher.

If theres anyone out there who is looking for a company to supply your department with an excellent RIT class, try Cross St. Associates out of Uxbridge, Mass. Joe Nedder is an excellent instructor who gives training at FDIC. Check him out you wont be sorry. www.crossstassociates.com

A new stress management Training module is available (no charge, no login required) for responders and those in direct patient care at: usawellnesscafe.org

Just click on the Training icon at the top of the page. The site is under development, but would you kindly review the module and let me know if it's meaningful to you?

We have brought the unit right inside the classroom!

In conjunction with the counsel of a broad range of emergency medical service instructors, administrators, and technicians in the field, in 1999 we designed and manufactured the first ambulance simulator. It was
our intent to build a simulator that would as close as possible recreate actual conditions in the field so students could observe and practice proper EMS techniques. The better trained the professional – the more lives that are saved.

Can be assembled in an EXISTING classroom.

Designed for the ENTIRE class to observe fellow students.

EVERY detail of the EMS experience has been included in this simulator.

The DESIGN represents an actual Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU).

The INSTRUCTOR can “coach” and evaluate students on ALL EMS protocols using this skills training tool.

There is MINIMAL maintenance expense to this simulator compared to an actual ambulance.

Your ENTIRE class can benefit from training in a climate controlled classroom.

Good Afternoon everyone!

Below you will find a copy of the most current training calendar for the Center for Domestic Preparedness (April-September 2011)as well as a copy of our Resident Program List which coincides with the calendar.

NEED HELP...Anyone know of a department that received funding through the FIRE Prevention Grant Act for fire prevention trailers? If so, I'd like to obtain a copy of their grant proposal. My department is in the process of establishing an arson investigation unit and we would like to secure a vehicle to carry all of the equipment. We are also hoping to purchase a fire prevention trailer. As with most other departments, money is tight so we are looking at any other feasible ways to obtain money. Thanks in advance

The Gas Monitor Simulator App (Gas Sim Version 1.3) was launched yesterday on the iTunes App Store. Update now and contact John for a free demo code to try it out. It's free, what's stopping you?
Do you have an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch? Download the app and try it out.
